Larian Studios Reveal a Fresh Divinity, Labeling it Their Most Ambitious RPG to Date
The anticipation surrounding the recent awards show reached a fever pitch, notably after host Geoff Keighley shared a puzzling photo of a desert monolith. The question has now been solved. The acclaimed developer is developing a fresh Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a bold trailer that included striking imagery, from a burning man to an orgy and the very unleashing of hell.
Not the Expected Sequel
Anyone expecting Divinity Original Sin 3, that is not happening. The studio clarified that a follow-up to its venerated RPGs is not on the cards right now.
That said, the developer described this new Divinity as a continuation of the main series. This phrasing hints that the team might be designing a faster-paced experience rather than another tactical title. Currently, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.
