I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
